i own one too -- copy no. 793 of 800. considering its age, it is in superb condition with insignificant wear. still has the slip cover, all text and illustrations, with no blemishes, stains, tears or damage. it is a fact that dr. hall donated the printing plates to the war effort as requested by pres. roosevelt. they were melted down for use by the war department because copper was a valuable strategic metal at that time.

in my opinion, it is the most significant book ever printed.

i also had the privilege to meet dr. hall, hear him lecture and visit his personal library at the prs in los angeles.

if anyone has questions or comments, please contact me at my e-mail address.

I own a signed 1928 5th edition copy of Manley P. Halls 'An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Quabbalistic and Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy'. This copy was published for Manley P. Hall in 1928 by H.S. Crocker Co. Inc. This copy is #328 in a very limited edition. The wooden box cover and wooded covers are in 'worn condition'. The book itself is in very good condition. There are no tears, stains or missing pages. There is no apparent insect damage. The 200 color prints by J. Agustus Knapp are pristene. The line drawings are incredible. I am not an expert in appraising books. I can provide photographs if you send me your e-mail address. I have no idea of the books value but do want it to go to someone who understands [and] will appreciate its significance. Your website seemed to be the best place to start. The previous owner purchased the book from Mr. Hall and it was autographed to him. I can provide some personal history regarding this man. I was given this book by his widow upon his death. I am moving to a much smaller house and would like to see it with someone who will appreciate it and give it the care it deserves.

If I have misused your website I am very sorry. I simply did not Know where else to start.
